Nka Goose T-Shirt

As native birds in this land we now call Canada, Canada geese have long been an important food source for Indigenous people. In this design, the mother goose protects her two babies with her wings, which represents the passing of knowledge to future generations in a safe space. The divided circle and communication line are motifs often seen in Woodland Art. In the Wiikwemkoong dialect, nka is the Anishinaabemowin word for Canada goose.
